The Textile and Quilt Art Forum's goal is to bring together an eclectic group of quilt and textile enthusiasts in an environment that celebrates the art.
We have assembled the most creative and talented quilters and textile artists in the industry who will showcase their art and teach others innovative ways to create and design.
All skill levels are welcome. The only expectations are your energy and willingness to learn.

Jacqueline Colson
Embroiderer and Quilt Artist
Jacqueline is an artistic and talented embroiderer and textile artist from New York City. She creates amazing work through the art of embroidery. She is currently making flexagons for dementia patients. These are truly remarkable pieces of work that simply boggle the mind. Maria Bolet Eng
Freelance Embroidery and Restoration Professional
Maria is very passionate about the treatment of textiles and how we maintain them throughout their lifetime. Her work balances the aesthetic expectations of clients against the best interest of their textiles. She believes that we need to treat our quilts like our aging population because of their fragility, and also because they are our cultural treasures. Maria attended New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology. She also worked as a technical illustrator and how-to writer for the McCall Pattern Company. Sylvia Hernandez
Master Quilt and Textile Artist
The multi-talented Sylvia Hernandez was born on the Lower East Side and raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where she currently resides. She attended the High School of Art and Design in NYC. Today, she is a celebrated and self-taught master quilter. Sylvia creates timeless, handcrafted works that address community concerns. She has exhibited her works both nationally and internationally. This amazing textile artist's work has appeared at the Clinton Presidential Center, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the James Museum of Western Wildlife, Florida, and in the private collection of Spike Lee. She enjoys using bright colors, messy paints, shapes, symbols, bold lettering and faces on fabric for quilted jackets, wall-hangings, and bed quilts, while using a freestyle quilting method. Thadine is a gifted and talented Textile Artist from New York City who has been in the textile art business for over 20 years. She has traveled internationally, highlighting her craft through exhibitions and quilting retreats. Her work has been exhibited at the Mid-Hudson Slavery Project, The John Browne House, the Annual Quilt for Cops Quilting Bee, Soul Basel at Art Basel, Miami, Florida, St. John’s University, and Westbeth Art Gallery of New York City. She was also featured in the New Yorker Magazine and the Hudson Valley Press, and board member of the Olde Towne Flushing Burial Ground Conservancy. Narcita was born in the Bronx, New York, and currently resides in Westchester County, New York. She is talented, creative, passionate, and dedicated to educating the public on the role quilting played in history. She is also a staunch advocate of literacy and the importance of reading as a form of independence. Narcita is a board member of the Mid-Hudson Anti-Slavery History Project, co-founder of The Oh, Freedom!
